Dr Bradley Frank is a professional radio astronomer, and is SARAO’s Associate Director for Astronomy Computing at the Institute for Data Intensive Astronomy (IDIA). Brad has an undergrad from Wits and PhD (Astronomy) from UCT. Prior to his appointment at IDIA, Brad had completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON), and was then the SKA Lecturer at UCT (Astronomy). Brad has played a role in the commissioning of KAT7, the design of MeerKAT and the APERTIF post-processing pipeline. He is currently playing a leading role in several MeerKAT large and open-time projects, and is the co-chair of the IAU GA2024 Science Sub-Committee.
