Dr. Boitumelo Mangope is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Educational Foundations. She is also a trained special/inclusive education specialist and has over 15 years of experience regarding special/inclusive education for students with IDD with specific interest in the attitudes, competencies, experiences, and practices of inclusion by educators. Dr. Mangope’s work particularly focuses on identifying the challenges that educators experience during the implementation of inclusive education policy and the transition and intervention programs for students with disabilities. Dr. Mangope is currently engaged in a number of collaborative projects on special/inclusive education for students with disabilities funded by the United States Agency for International Development and National Institute of Health. She was a PI in an evaluation of the Pastoral and Guidance and Counseling Policies for the Ministry of Basic Education.
