Cristina studied Astronomy degree at the Complutense University in Madrid (Spain) and obtained the M. Sc. in Astrophysics from the University of Granada (Spain). In her first job she was controller and operator of the International Ultraviolet Explorer space telescope (IUE, ESA/NASA). For 17 years she was the support radio astronomer at the NASA Deep Space Communications Center in Madrid. For the past four years she has been working for the H2020 JUMPING JIVE project as a SKA-VLBI scientist, first based at the SKA Headquarters at Jodrell Bank in the UK, and later at the Joint Institute for VLBI ERIC, in the Netherlands. Recently she joined the Yebes Observatory of the National Astronomical Observatory in Spain (OAN/IGN).
