Paul Rübig (born 6 May 1953 in Wels) is an Austrian politician and was Member of the European Parliament for the Austrian People's Party. He became a Member of the European Parliament on 25 January 1996, and was re-elected in 1996, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014. In 2019 he left European Parliament after 23 years. Hence, he was the longest-serving MEP from Austria. In 2019 Paul Ruebig was appointed to the Advisory Board of Rübig Holding GmbH. He is also member of the Governing Board of the EIT (European Institute of Innovation & Technology) and member of the European Economic and Social Committee..
