Philippa Hartley
SKA Observatory
Postdoctoral Fellow
Philippa Hartley is an SKAO postdoctoral fellow responsible for co-organising the SKA Science Data Challenge series. Having studied for a degree in Physics at the University of Liverpool, Philippa obtained an MSc and PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Manchester. Her scientific interests involve the use of strong gravitational lenses as 'cosmic telescopes', which help us to zoom in on how galaxies evolve and also on the nature of dark matter. Philippa is also interested in applying the latest machine learning techniques to solve problems in radio astronomy.
