Robert is Exploration Manager – Zambia, with First Quantum Minerals Ltd. leading a Multi-disciplinary Team in the Sediment Hosted Copper search space. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours) in Applied Geology, from University of Leicester (2007) and has been in Industry since. He has worked on grassroots Exploration Programmes as well as brownfield and advanced stage Projects. Robert is a Fellow of the Geological Society of London and a Fellow of the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG). Also currently serving as Vice President of the Geological Society Of Zambia (GSZ). In addition, he sits on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Committee of the Society Of Economic Geologists (SEG, U.S.). Rob joined First Quantum Minerals Ltd. in 2010 as a Geologist working on several Sediment Hosted-Copper Exploration Programmes and was part of the Team that made the Southeast Dome (Kansanshi) Satellite-deposit discovery. He was also responsible for the Team assessing the Phoenix Copper Project, Kipushi (Zambia - DRC border), and its transition to a Mine Lease. Additionally, he led recent activities relating to the Mineral Resource update of the Fishtie - Kashime Cu-Co deposit, Mkushi. Robert has negotiated Third Party Opportunities, along with associated Agreements, on behalf of First Quantum Minerals Ltd. in Zambia. Over the years he has nurtured his passion for field data collection, interpretation and synthesis of geological data whilst beginning to manage Exploration programmes and subsequently Exploration Projects, gradually gaining more responsibilities over the years.  Outside of work he enjoys the outdoors, travel and is a keen hobby Photographer.
